Driving And Talking-> Next stop Prison House

Drive and talk on your phone at the same time and guess what ....you could get jailed. And if that sounds bad, listen to this....you won't be spending prison time for a day or two but for two whole years. Yes TWO years! Your mobile phone would probably be outdated by then! In most countries driving and talking would be accompanied by a fine or a warning. Well in the U.K the authorities have gone one step further. Talk or text while you drive and you could well be on your way to the prison house. If motorists or drivers are caught with rash driving they could very well face upto 2 years behind bars with unlimited fines. If this was the same case in India(where I live) the first person who would have to be jailed would be the traffic policeman himself who doesn't even bother to where a helmet let alone talk while driving.

Anti Aging Drugs?

Researchers from sirtris pharmaceuticals claim to have developed a new type of drug which would slow down the aging process. The drugs they say would target mitochondria, the cellular power generators that provide our bodies with chemical energy. As we age our mitochondria accumulate damage which ultimately results in the malfunctioning and breakdown of our tissues and cells. Some scientists believe that diseases like Cancer, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's disease and Heart disease all share a mitochondrial route. So if you fix the mitochondria you just might fix aging itself. And it seems they have been testing it on rats.(which I personally think is a bad idea)

Researchers Discover Ratzilla In Indonesia

Researchers in a remote jungle in Indonesia have discovered a Giant rat which they apparently havenb't seen before.The animals were found in the Foja Mountains rainforest in eastern Papua province during a June expedition.The big brute is about five times the size of a typical city rat.(Guess it's bigger than my cat then)With no fear of humans, it apparently came into the camp several times during the trip. Ah!another one of nature's beauties.

Pot Smoking Kid Makes Dad Rich

A father who had spent nearly two weeks searching for the "Guitar Hero III" video game based on the Nintendo Wii platform finally bought it for 90$ as a christmas gift for his son. However on finding out that his 15 year son had been smoking pot with his friends he sold it on an online auction site as a punishment . And Guess what! It fetched $9100.
"So I was so relieved in that I had finally got the Holy Grail of Christmas presents pretty much just in the nick of time. I couldn't wait to spread the jubilance to my son," the father wrote on the eBay website.

"Then, yesterday, I came home from work early and what do I find? My innocent little boy smoking pot in the back yard with two of his delinquent friends."

Pot luck eh?
